stories by college sex workers, networking for college sex workers

While sex work has long been considered a “last resort” in times of financial hardship, the rising cost of college tuition has motivated many students to turn to sex work during their college years.

High tuition costs aren’t the only culprit; between student loans, textbooks, and basic living expenses, college sex workers have reached an overarching consensus that a minimum wage job at the dining commons can provide an allowance, but not a means to survive.

While the college years should be a time for personal empowerment and self-discovery, college sex workers occupy a marginalized, silenced, and secretive space within universities.

The aim of this project is not to examine cause and effect, but rather, to lend a voice to college sex workers nationwide.  Past and current college sex workers interested in contributing stories can refer to the submissions section for more information.
